El partido gobernante se sienta en el lado izquierdo del presidente de la Cámara de la Asamblea en contraposición al lado derecho tradicional del presidente. Esta tradición se remonta a la década de 1850, ya que los calentadores del Edificio Colonial estaban ubicados en el lado izquierdo.
