La Copa América de 1886 fue la segunda entrega del torneo de fútbol dirigido por la Asociación de Fútbol Americano . Clark ONT, como poseedores del trofeo, defendió con éxito su título y recibió junto con el trofeo un par de protectores de piernas donados por el Alma Cricket and Football club.
El club doméstico se había retirado mientras que se agregaron Almas, New York Rovers y Trenton. Los clubes seguían proviniendo de Nueva York y Nueva Jersey, aunque ahora había cuatro ciudades diferentes representadas.
