La temporada de 1982 fue la temporada número 100 en la historia de la franquicia de los Filis de Filadelfia . Durante la temporada, Steve Carlton sería el último lanzador en ganar al menos 20 juegos en una temporada para los Filis en el siglo XX. [1] También se convertiría en el primer lanzador en ganar cuatro premios Cy Young en una carrera.
