La Copa Chile 2018 (oficialmente conocida como Copa Chile MTS 2018 debido a su patrocinio), fue la 39a edición de la Copa Chile , el torneo de la copa nacional de fútbol del país . Santiago Wanderers fueron los campeones defensores, pero perdieron ante Palestino en la segunda ronda de la competencia. Palestino se convirtió en campeón después de derrotar al Audax Italiano en la final por un marcador global de 4-2.

Formato
La Copa Chile 2018 se basa en un sistema de eliminación directa con empates a doble partido, similar a la Copa del Rey . Como novedad, después de 6 años, los clubes que son miembros de la Segunda División Profesional se incluyeron, y después de 8 años, clubes de la ANFA también se incluyeron, como estos de Tercera División A y Tercera División B . [1]
Premios
Los campeones de esta edición (o los subcampeones, si los campeones ya se habían clasificado) se ganaron el derecho a competir en la Copa Libertadores 2019 , llevándose el puesto Chile 4 . Además, también se ganó el derecho a jugar la Supercopa de Chile 2019 . A diferencia de ediciones anteriores de la Copa Chile, los subcampeones no tenían derecho a un lugar para la Copa Sudamericana . [1]

Primera ronda
Los emparejamientos para la primera ronda fueron anunciados por la ANFP el 16 de abril de 2018. Los 16 equipos de Segunda División y Tercera División A se sortearon contra los 16 equipos de Primera B, según criterios geográficos y de seguridad. Los partidos de ida se jugaron los días 25, 28-30 de abril, 2 y 6 de mayo y los partidos de vuelta se jugaron los días 2-3, 5-6 y 16 de mayo de 2018. [2]

Second round
In the second round, the 16 winning teams from the previous round were drawn against the 16 Primera División teams which entered the competition at this stage. As in the previous round, the pairings were based on geographical and safety criteria. In each tie, the team from the lower tier hosted the first leg. The pairings for the second round were announced by the ANFP on 18 May 2018, the first legs were played from 9 to 17 June 2018 and the second legs were played from 14 to 21 July 2018.[3]

The draw for the Round of 16 and subsequent phases was held on 28 May 2018.[6] Starting from this round, the order of legs in each tie will depend on the number assigned to the second round tie won by each team, with the team with the highest number in each tie hosting the second leg.
