Las elecciones del Consejo de Buckinghamshire de 2021 tuvieron lugar el 6 de mayo de 2021, junto con las elecciones locales a nivel nacional . La elección originalmente debía tener lugar en mayo de 2020, pero se pospuso debido a la pandemia de COVID-19 . [2]
Se eligieron un total de 147 concejales, y los 49 distritos eligieron a 3 concejales cada uno. [3] Para asegurar una mayoría, un partido necesitaba asegurar 74 escaños.
El Partido Conservador obtuvo una mayoría total con 113 escaños; los Demócratas Liberales quedaron en segundo lugar, con 15 escaños. [1]
Antecedentes [ editar ]
Debido al aplazamiento de las elecciones locales de 2020 hasta 2021, se anunció el 18 de marzo de 2020 que todos los miembros actuales de la autoridad en la sombra se convertirían en concejales y los miembros ejecutivos en la sombra formarían el gabinete. [4] Permanecieron en el cargo hasta que tuvo lugar la elección inaugural en mayo de 2021. [5]
