La vigésima Asamblea Legislativa de Ontario estuvo en sesión desde el 6 de octubre de 1937 hasta el 30 de junio de 1943, justo antes de las elecciones generales de 1943 . El partido mayoritario era el Partido Liberal de Ontario dirigido por Mitchell Hepburn .
En 1938, el título de " Miembro del Parlamento Provincial ", abreviado como "MPP", fue adoptado oficialmente por los miembros de la asamblea legislativa.
Hepburn dimitió como Premier en octubre de 1942, siendo líder del partido, y Gordon Daniel Conant se convirtió en Premier. En 1943, Harry Nixon se convirtió en líder del partido y primer ministro después de que se celebró una convención de liderazgo para el partido liberal provincial.
Norman Otto Hipel sirvió como orador de la asamblea hasta el 2 de septiembre de 1938. James Howard Clark reemplazó a Hipel como orador. [1]
