El Premio de la Academia al Mejor Diseño de Producción reconoce los logros de la dirección de arte en el cine . El nombre original de la categoría era Mejor Dirección de Arte , pero se cambió a su nombre actual en 2012 para la 85a edición de los Premios de la Academia . [1] Este cambio se debió a que la rama del Director de Arte de la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas (AMPAS) pasó a llamarse rama del Diseñador. Desde 1947 , el premio se comparte con los decoradores de escenarios. Se otorga al mejor diseño de interiores en una película. [2]
