Bélgica compitió en los Juegos Olímpicos de Verano de 2012 en Londres , Reino Unido , del 27 de julio al 12 de agosto de 2012. El Comité Olímpico belga envió la delegación más grande del país a los Juegos desde 1976. Un total de 119 atletas, 75 hombres y 44 mujeres, compitieron en 16 deportes. Solo había un competidor en canotaje de slalom, ciclismo de BMX, doma ecuestre, remo, tiro, tenis de mesa y levantamiento de pesas. El hockey sobre césped fue el único evento por equipos en el que Bélgica estuvo representada en estos Juegos Olímpicos.
El equipo belga contó con gemelos y estrellas nacionales de la pista Kevin y Jonathan Borlée , y la campeona defensora Tia Hellebaut en el salto de altura femenino. Hellebaut también fue designado por el Comité Olímpico Belga para llevar la bandera de la nación en la ceremonia de apertura. El jugador de tenis de mesa y varias veces campeón del mundo Jean-Michel Saive se convirtió en el primer atleta belga en competir en siete Juegos Olímpicos. El saltador ecuestre Jos Lansink también estuvo en su séptima aparición olímpica como atleta individual, habiendo participado como parte del equipo belga desde 2004 (tres de sus apariciones fueron representando a los Países Bajos).
Bélgica, sin embargo, no logró ganar la medalla de oro por primera vez desde 2004, y se fue con solo tres medallas. La judoka Charline Van Snick y el marinero láser Evi Van Acker se conformaron con las medallas de bronce en sus respectivos deportes, mientras que Lionel Cox ganó la plata en tiro con rifle .
