Rhynchonella es un género extinto de braquiópodos que se encuentran enestratos del Ordovícico al Eoceno en todo el mundo. Era un alimentador de suspensión epifaunal estacionario. [1]
Descripción
Estos braquiópodos articulados de 1,75 a 3,75 cm de largo se caracterizan por una concha triangular con un perfil esférico, nervaduras poderosas, una línea de bisagra curva y un pequeño umbo. El margen anterior muestra una proyección en forma de lengua. [2]
