Richard de Montfort ( c. 1065 , Montfort l'Amaury , Ile de France , Francia - 1092), era hijo de Simon I de Montfort , Conde de Évreux (c. 1025-1087) y Agnès d'Évreux (c. 1030) - c. 1087), hija de Ricardo, Conde de Évreux . [1]

Sucedió a su medio hermano Amaury II en 1089 como señor de Montfort-l'Amaury. En noviembre de 1092, murió en batalla.
Orderic Vitalis registra que sucedió a su medio hermano en 1089 y "fue implacable en sus intentos de vengarse de Guillermo de Breteuil por el destino de Amaury". Fue herido de muerte en un ataque a Conches-en-Ouche [2] durante la guerra entre Raoul III de Tosny y William, Conde de Évreux desencadenada por la enemistad entre sus esposas.
Murió sin heredero y dejó Montfort a su hermano, Simón II . Fue enterrado en Épernon , Eure-et-Loir , Francia .
