Se casó con Rebecca Goodacre (1820-1899) el 17 de abril de 1849 en la iglesia de St Paul, Nottingham y tuvieron el siguiente hijo:
Representó a St Mary's Ward en el Ayuntamiento de Nottingham y más tarde a Trent Ward. Murió en su casa de Baker Street, Nottingham el 16 de marzo de 1880. [2]
