Dacalia ( árabe : محافظة الدقهلية muhafazah el Daqahliyah , pronunciado [ed.dæʔæhlejjæ] ) es un egipcio gobernación de mentir al noreste de El Cairo . Su superficie es de aproximadamente 3500 km². Su capital es Mansoura .

Arqueología [ editar ]
Según el Ministerio de Antigüedades de Egipto, en febrero de 2020, los arqueólogos egipcios descubrieron 83 tumbas que datan del 4.000 a. C. conocidas como período Naqada III . En el entierro también se revelaron varias ollas pequeñas de cerámica de diferentes formas y algunas conchas marinas, herramientas de maquillaje, ollas delineador de ojos y joyas. [4] [5]
En abril de 2021, los arqueólogos egipcios anunciaron el descubrimiento de 110 tumbas funerarias en el sitio arqueológico de Koum el-Khulgan. 68 tumbas de forma ovalada datan del Período Predinástico y 37 tumbas de forma rectangular son del Segundo Período Intermedio . El resto se remonta al período Naqada III . Las tumbas también contenían los restos de un adulto y un bebé (enterrado en una vasija), un grupo de hornos, estufas, restos de cimientos de adobe, equipo funerario, vasijas cilíndricas en forma de pera y un cuenco con diseños geométricos. Población [ editar ]
Según estimaciones de población, en 2015 la mayoría de los residentes de la gobernación vivían en zonas rurales, con una tasa de urbanización del 28,2%. De un estimado de 5.949.001 personas que residen en la gobernación, 4.271.428 personas vivían en áreas rurales en comparación con 1.677.573 en áreas urbanas. [13] Para 2018, la población había aumentado a un estimado de 6.577.000. [2]
