Historia
Se presentó por primera vez como "Dinner Party Stakes" cuando se inauguró el hipódromo de Pimlico en 1870, recibió su nombre de la cena de 1868 en Saratoga, Nueva York, donde el gobernador de Maryland Oden Bowie y otros se reunieron y apostaron, lo que resultó en la construcción del hipódromo de Pimlico para caballos de carreras de pura sangre .
