The Sound of Musicals fue una serie de cuatro partes de la BBC de 2006 protagonizada por varios actores de teatro musical diferentes y algunos otros cantantes profesionalesque interpretaron actos de diferentes musicales. Cada semana, al elenco estándar se unía una celebridad invitada quetambién interpretaba sus números favoritos. El programa también incluyó entrevistas con personas involucradas en el teatro musical como Andrew Lloyd Webber y Cameron Mackintosh .
Cada parte del programa fue filmada frente a una audiencia en vivo durante el otoño de 2005. Las fechas de filmación son las siguientes: 30 de septiembre, 2 de octubre, 4 y 6 de octubre.
