Axiom Mission 2 (or Ax-2) is a planned SpaceX Crew Dragon mission to the International Space Station (ISS), operated by SpaceX on behalf of Axiom Space. Its first two crew members have been announced in May 2021.[3] In June 2021, SpaceX confirmed that the mission would fly in Fall 2022 on a Crew Dragon.[citation needed]
The crew will include former NASA Astronaut Peggy Whitson as mission commander and John Shoffner as pilot. It was confirmed on 2 June 2021 [4] that the mission would use a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft.
The winner of the reality TV show of Discovery Who Wants to Be an Astronaut? could join this crew.[1]
