EGX (anteriormente Eurogamer Expo ) es una feria de videojuegos organizada por Gamer Network [2] y que se celebra anualmente en el Reino Unido y Alemania.

Fuera de la Eurogamer Expo 2009 en Old Billingsgate Market , Londres

La primera Eurogamer Expo tuvo lugar en Old Truman Brewery como parte del London Games Festival 2008 y contó con la asistencia de 4.000 personas. [3] [4] En 2009, el espectáculo tuvo lugar en The Royal Armouries en Leeds y en el Old Billingsgate Market de Londres a finales de octubre. [5] El evento se llevó a cabo en el Earls Court de Londres durante los próximos cinco años entre 2010 y 2014. En 2012, Eurogamer y Rock, Paper, Shotgun anunciaron Rezzed , un programa de juegos indie y para PC derivado de Eurogamer Expo. [12] Rezzed se celebró por primera vez en el Brighton Centre del 6 al 7 de julio de 2012. [13] En septiembre de 2012, Eurogamer anunció que Eurogamer Expo también albergaría un componente Rezzed. En octubre de 2013, Eurogamer Expo pasó a llamarse EGX London y Rezzed pasó a llamarse EGX Rezzed. [10] La marca EGX London se suspendió en 2014 y, tras el traslado a Birmingham NEC, la feria se denominó simplemente EGX.

El 21 de febrero de 2018, se anunció un tercer evento en Berlín, Alemania. [15]

En 2018 también se anunció que EGX 2019 regresaría a ExCel, Londres. [dieciséis]

El 13 de marzo de 2020, EGX Rezzed 2020 iba a tener lugar originalmente del 26 al 28 de marzo de 2020, pero se pospuso del 2 al 4 de julio de 2020 debido a la pandemia de COVID-19 [17] [18] antes de ser cancelado por completo. [19] Tres meses después, el 30 de junio de 2020, se anunció que EGX 2020, que originalmente iba a tener lugar del 17 al 20 de septiembre de 2020, también fue cancelada. El mismo día, EGX anunció que unía fuerzas con PAX para realizar un evento en línea de 9 días, que tendrá lugar del 12 al 20 de septiembre de 2020, [20] un mes después, el 27 de julio de 2020, se realizó el evento en línea. un nombre llamado PAX Online X EGX Digital.
