El Premio Alfred Noble es un premio presentado por la Sociedad Estadounidense de Ingenieros Civiles , como fideicomisario de los fondos del premio aportados por las sociedades de ingeniería combinadas de los Estados Unidos. Establecido en 1929 en honor a Alfred Noble (1844-1914), ex presidente de la Sociedad Estadounidense de Ingenieros Civiles , [1] el premio se otorgó por primera vez en 1931. Ha habido varios ganadores notables de este premio, incluido Claude E. Shannon en 1939.
El premio no tiene conexión con el Premio Nobel establecido por Alfred Nobel , con el que a menudo se confunde debido a la similitud de sus nombres.
