Historia
La División Norte de Essex fue una de las dos Divisiones, junto con la División Sur , creada a partir del condado parlamentario indiviso de Essex por la Ley de Reforma de 1832 . El distrito electoral fue abolido bajo la Ley de Reforma de 1867 (modificada por la Ley de Límites de 1868) que dividió a Essex en tres Divisiones de dos miembros ( Este , Sur y Oeste ).
El distrito electoral de North Essex se creó para las elecciones generales de 1997 después de la Cuarta Revisión Periódica de los distritos electorales parlamentarios, en su mayoría reemplazando la antigua sede de Colchester North . Esto fue abolido para las elecciones generales de 2010 por la Quinta Revisión, cuando fue reemplazado en gran parte por la nueva circunscripción de Harwich y North Essex .

La nueva circunscripción de Harwich y North Essex
