Finlandia compitió en los Juegos Olímpicos de Verano de 2012 en Londres , del 27 de julio al 12 de agosto de 2012. La nación ha competido en todos los Juegos Olímpicos de verano desde su debut oficial en 1908 . El Comité Olímpico Finlandés ( finlandés : Suomen Olympiakomitea , SO ) envió un total de 56 atletas a los Juegos, 29 hombres y 27 mujeres, para competir en 14 deportes. Solo había un competidor en gimnasia artística, taekwondo, levantamiento de pesas y tenis.
Atletas finlandeses notables incluyeron al campeón defensor Satu Mäkelä-Nummela en tiro al aire libre femenino, y al medallista olímpico de bronce Tero Pitkämäki en lanzamiento de jabalina masculino. La jugadora de bádminton Anu Nieminen y la nadadora Hanna-Maria Seppälä , que terminó cuarta en el evento de estilo libre femenino, hicieron su cuarta aparición olímpica como las atletas más experimentadas. Seppälä también se convirtió en la primera mujer abanderada de Finlandia en la ceremonia de apertura de los Juegos Olímpicos de Verano (en los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno, Marja-Liisa Kirvesniemi había llevado la bandera finlandesa en 1994).
