Esta es la lista de 232 planetas extrasolares en tránsito ordenados por períodos orbitales. Todos los planetas en tránsito tienen masas y radios verdaderos y la mayoría tiene inclinaciones conocidas. El radio está determinado por cuánto se atenúa la estrella durante el tránsito y la inclinación se determina a partir del efecto Rossiter-McLaughlin . La masa verdadera está determinada por la masa mínima determinada a partir de las observaciones de la velocidad radial dividida por el seno de inclinación.
El primer planeta conocido que se descubrió con el método de tránsito fue OGLE-TR-56b . El primer tránsito planetario observado (por un exoplaneta ya conocido) fue causado por HD 209458 b . El exoplaneta en tránsito más masivo es KELT-1b, que tiene una masa de 27,23 M J (lo que la convierte en una enana marrón ), mientras que el menos masivo es Kepler-42d, que tiene una masa inferior a 0,003 M J o 0,9 M ⊕ . [1] El mayor exoplaneta conocido es HAT-P-32b que es 2,037 R J . El exoplaneta más pequeño conocido también es Kepler-42d, que es 0.051 R J o 0.57 R ⊕ . El exoplaneta en tránsito más denso conocido es COROT-3b , que tiene una densidad de 26,4 g / cm 3 ; el planeta en tránsito más difuso conocido es Kepler-12b , que tiene una densidad de solo 0,111 g / cm 3 . El período más largo de cualquier planeta en tránsito es Kepler-1647b , que tarda 1107 días en orbitar sus estrellas (dobles).
