La elección parcial de Caerphilly de 1921 se celebró el 24 de agosto de 1921. La elección parcial se celebró debido a la muerte del diputado laborista en ejercicio, Alfred Onions . Morgan Jones lo llevó a cabo para el Partido Laborista . [1]
Candidatos y campaña
Morgan Jones consiguió la nominación laborista a pesar de no ser el candidato preferido de la Federación de Mineros de Gales del Sur . Fue el primer objetor de conciencia en ser elegido al Parlamento después de la Primera Guerra Mundial [2].
El Partido Comunista de Gran Bretaña (CPGB) estaba Bob Stewart , miembro de su comité ejecutivo. El partido se había fundado en 1920 y esta fue su primera elección parlamentaria. Envió a casi todas sus figuras destacadas a hacer campaña en las elecciones. [3]

Jones obtuvo una victoria fácil, con Edmunds en segundo lugar y el CPGB en un distante tercero. [3]
