La siguiente es una lista parcial de formas adjetivas de nombres de lugares en inglés y sus equivalentes demonímicos , que denotan a las personas o los habitantes de estos lugares.
Nota: Los demonios se dan en forma plural. Las formas singulares simplemente eliminan la 's' final o, en el caso de las terminaciones -ese , son las mismas que las formas plurales. La terminación -men tiene el equivalente femenino -women (por ejemplo, un irlandés y una escocesa ). Las terminaciones francesas -ois / ais sirven tanto en singular como en plural masculino ; agregar 'e' ( -oise / aise ) los hace singularmente femeninos; 'es' ( -oises / aises ) los hace femeninos en plural. El españolla terminación "-o" generalmente denota el masculino y normalmente se cambia a femenino reemplazando el "-o" con "-a". Las formas plurales son normalmente "-os" y "-as" respectivamente.
Los adjetivos que terminan en -ish se pueden usar como demonios colectivos (por ejemplo, el inglés, el de Cornualles ). También pueden hacerlo aquellos que terminan en -ch / -tch (por ejemplo, el francés , el holandés ) siempre que se pronuncien con un sonido 'ch' (por ejemplo, el adjetivo checo no califica).
