El segundo distrito congresional de Hawái es un distrito congresional del estado estadounidense de Hawái . Actualmente está representado por Kai Kahele , quien sucedió a Tulsi Gabbard tras las elecciones de 2020 . Historia
Cuando Hawái y Alaska fueron admitidos en la Unión en 1959, a ambos nuevos estados se les otorgó un Representante general al Congreso en espera del próximo censo de los Estados Unidos . En la redistribución que siguió al censo de los EE. UU. De 1960 , Hawai tenía derecho a un segundo representante de los EE. UU. En lugar de crear dos distritos electorales, el estado continuó eligiendo a sus representantes estadounidenses en general. Dos representantes fueron elegidos por primera vez en 1962 y Hawai fue representada por primera vez por dos representantes de Estados Unidos el 2 de enero de 1963 tras la convocatoria del 88º Congreso .

Requisito de residencia
