Camionetas de dólar
Cuando la MTA descontinuó algunas rutas el 27 de junio de 2010, se permitió a los operadores de camionetas de pasajeros, también conocidas como camionetas de dólar , [89] hacerse cargo de ciertas rutas descontinuadas. En Queens, estas rutas fueron la Q74 y la Q79. [90] También hay camionetas de dólar que operan desde Jamaica Center, proporcionando un modo alternativo de transporte a rutas de autobús como la Q4 a Cambria Heights, la Q113 a Far Rockaway y la Q5 y Q85 a Green Acres Mall. [91] [92] Las furgonetas, algunas con licencia de la Comisión de Taxis y Limusinas de la Ciudad de Nueva York y otras sin licencia, cobran una tarifa de $ 2.00, menor que la tarifa de $ 2.75 para los autobuses locales operados por la MTA, pero sin traslados gratuitos. En diciembre de 2011, el concejal de la ciudad Leroy Comrie presionó a la ciudad para que creara paradas de autobús designadas para los servicios de camionetas de dólares para aliviar el tráfico y la interferencia de las camionetas de dólares con los autobuses de la MTA. Estas paradas de camionetas de un dólar para dejar y recoger ahora incluyen la esquina de 153rd Street y Archer Avenue junto con Parsons Boulevard entre Archer y Jamaica Avenue. [93]

Nuevas rutas de autobús propuestas
Esta tabla brinda detalles de las rutas propuestas que se anunciaron en diciembre de 2019 como parte del proyecto de rediseño de la red de autobuses de Queens por parte de la MTA. Las conexiones a las estaciones del metro de la ciudad de Nueva York en las terminales de las rutas de autobús también se enumeran cuando corresponde.
Hay cuatro tipos de rutas:
- Alta densidad: rutas que conectan corredores densamente poblados, con paradas limitadas cada 1 milla (1,6 km) [311] : 25
- Conector del metro: rutas que conectan uno o dos barrios con los ejes del metro, con una sección de paradas limitadas entre el metro y los barrios correspondientes [311] : 27

Tenga en cuenta que "QT" es un prefijo temporal y que estas rutas son provisionales; la versión final puede ser significativamente diferente.
